  23. A big loss "caused by the Amiga"?  I know you'd like that, but let's not start
  24. making up things.  The PC market was about 10% smaller than expected this
  25. year--and ten percent of Escoms yearly revenue amounts to about twice their
  26. actual losses.  Add costs of aggressive expansion that hasn't started paying
  27. back yet and I'd say they're not doing all that bad.

  29. I'm sure Corel is not alone in its disappointment over 32-bit applications
  30. upgrades lagging some 90% behind expectations.  Apple's troubles I don't need to
  31. tell you about (from memory:  $1.2 billion loss, $700 million after taxes--some
  32. $350 million of which due to writing off 68k hardware stock).
